October could have spelled absolute doom for Auburn. Instead, the Tigers are taking a strong boost of momentum into the final month of the season. The Tigers' 41-23 victory over Ole Miss, which featured a dominating second-half performance on both sides of the ball, was the latest example of resiliency and toughness from Auburn. The Tigers showed no ill effects from a 45-10 drubbing the previous week against No. 1 LSU on their way to their third victory of a month that featured games against the SEC's best. "I am proud that no game has beat us twice," coach Gene Chizik said. "That's really important, and I think it shows you the resiliency of the kids on this team. "They have been through a lot, and we are bumped and bruised and beat up, but we always continue to fight back and find a way to try to win a game, and we did that tonight." Resiliency was everywhere on the field Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium, but it was never more apparent than at the quarterback position. Clint Moseley, coming off a rough starting debut against LSU, completed all but three of his passes and finished with four touchdowns, the most in a game by an Auburn quarterback since Cam Newton's SEC championship game performance. "Certainly it was a better night for Clint," Chizik said. "Anytime you throw four touchdowns, you have to look at it and say it was a very productive night." The Tigers' big win clinched a trip back to the postseason and sent them into a much-needed bye week with plenty of momentum. "It's going to be big getting a bunch of guys back and healthy," center Reese Dismukes said. "We're all bumped up and bruised. We all need a little break. That will be big heading down the stretch."
