Back In But Whats To Expect
Recently, Siruis XM Radio rejoined the AFL family with a small deal of coverage that might grow next season. Listeners of the package can listen to a five game regular season package that begins with a pregame show. Siruis was part of the AFL experience four years ago but now it returns to a league that is vastly different from what it was then. The die hard fans have come back but what about the casual ones. Can enough of them be obtained too make this deal work. The popularity of the game itself will probably make this a worthwhile investment. The current NFL lockout likely will add fans that could become fans forever. Siruis has long been a good marketer of young projects like the AFl. The league needed a wider presence then just the net for its radio audience and Siruis can provide it. The deal should work for both sides and make each side stronger both now and in the future. This week look for Utah too come out on top in the NFL Network game of the week by a count of 56-48. Next week: A look at the Pittsburgh Franchise as it completes year one and eyes the playoffs
