Chicago Blackhawks center Michal Handzus recently had surgery on his wrist and knee but expects to be ready for the start of training camp in September, ESPNChicago.com reports.

The length and value of the deal aren't known, but Quenneville's current contract was set to expire after the 2013-14 season.
