PLAYERS: Dana WhitePat Barry
After a spectacular night of MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Pat Barry (Pictured), T.J. Waldburger, Tim Elliott and Jared Papazian each an additional $40,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale.” Nine of the night’s 11 scraps ended before the final horn, so White had plenty of bouts to choose from. After losing the opening round of his scrap, T.J. Waldburger rallied to lock a slick triangle choke on to Nick Catone. Waldburger’s performance was enough to earn ‘Submission of the Night’ honors. Speaking of storming back, Barry came back in the second stanza to slap Shane Del Rosario into unconsciousness. “HD’s” heavy hands scored him ‘Knockout of the Night.’ Elliott and Papazian set the tone for the evening by kicking off the card in style. Their 15-minute affair notched ‘Fight of the Night.’ Elliot also took home a lopsided unanimous decision victory. TUF 16 Finale took place inside The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fight of the Night: Tim Elliott and Jared Papazian ($40,000/each) Submission of the Night: T.J. Waldburger ($40,000) Knockout of the Night: Pat Barry ($40,000)

Dana White explains his decision to have Ronda Rousey headline UFC 157

There seems to be a lot of confusion over the decision to have Ronda Rousey headline UFC 157, considering no female has ever even fought in the UFC, let alone headline. Dana White Blasts Bob Arum for ‘Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4′

One of the many great things about being a sports fan and a gambler is that you can win, even when your team loses. If the Lakers end up victorious, I’ll still feel warm and fuzzy inside despite the financial setback because the...
