Baseball. Bonadonna, Milroy Picked on Final Day of MLB Draft

Illinois senior center fielder Joe Bonadonna (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 43rd round with the 1,294th overall pick and Fighting Illini signee right-handed pitcher/outfielder Matt Milroy (Batavia, Ill.) was picked by the Boston Red Sox in the 35th round with the 1,068th overall selection on the final day of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Bonadonna's selection marks the third current Illini player to be drafted, the most since five Illinois players were selected in the 2005 draft.
