(March 24, 2010) – Freshman Vincent Caesar (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored the game-tying run on a passed ball with two outs in the ninth and sophomore Pat Cantwell (West Islip, N.Y.) then drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI double in the 10th to lead the Stony Brook University baseball team to a 7-6 win over Fordham on Wednesday afternoon at Houlihan Park.The Seawolves trailed 6-4 entering the ninth and were down to their last out with sophomore Sal Intagliata (Franklin Square, N.Y.) on first. But Caesar followed with a single and freshman William Carmona (Hempstead, N.Y.) singled to center to drive in Intagliata. Caesar then scampered home on a passed ball to tie the game at six.Carmona pitched a scoreless ninth to send the game to extra innings and freshman John Adornetto (Commack, N.Y.) singled with one out in the 10th.
