Johnny Knox becomes eligible to practice Oct. 15, but the Bears wide receiver has not run full-speed in his comeback from a spinal injury and is unlikely to play this season.
Knox is on the physically unable to perform list, which allows a player to begin a practice window any time between Weeks 6 and 9 for up to three weeks before a team must make a roster decision. The Bears could decide to shut Knox down for this season because he has missed so much.
A speed merchant when he's healthy, Knox said he's "moving a little bit better," but he isn't moving like he needs to on the field.
"I haven't let that animal out of the cage yet," he said. "We are getting there. I'm nervous in a way that I want things back to normal. I'm still working on some things, and we're going to wait and see when that day comes." Source: Chicago Tribune

Denver, CO. The NFL in 2012, without a doubt, is a QB-driven league more than ever before. To be a successful team in this day and age, a high quality signal caller is essential to be considered a viable contender each and every year. The rules have been altered over the years to benefit offenses, so a quarterback with precise accuracy or a rocket arm often times vaults certain...
Chicago Bears fullback Evan Rodriquez will not play against Jacksonville on Sunday, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Rodriguez has a knee injury that kept him out of the game last Monday night in Dallas. He was listed as the starter on opening day but plays sparingly because the Bears offense likes to use three wide receivers and a tight end.
Brandon Marshall is ready for commitment, not in marriage, but to the Chicago Bears. The twice traded talented receiver seems to have found a home in the Windy City. He’s reunited with his former Denver quarterback Jay Cutler, and he’s gone from that fake football pit they call Miami. Marshall, who has had his share of off field issues, and being diagnosed with a border line...
Bears running back Matt Forte (ankle) fully participated in practice this week and is expected to play on Sunday.Fantasy Spin:Forte had 52 yards on 13 carries in his return to the lineup Monday night and he didn't look to have any limitations running the football. Start him as you normally would Sunday against the Jaguars.
Coming off a dominating performance in prime time, the Chicago Bears defense could be in for another big effort against a team that might have the worst offense in the NFL.
The visiting Bears look for a third consecutive victory as they face the offensively challenged Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Though Chicago's offense has been inconsistent in 2012, its defense has a league...
The Chicago Bears flexed their muscle, put the D in defense and dominated Big D (try saying that fast three times). The Bears proved on Monday night that their defense is here to stay and served notices to all offenses in the NFL. They forced Tony Romo into throwing five interceptions and held explosive running back DeMarco Murray to only 24 yards rushing. To be blunt, Jacksonville...
In news that should be no surprise to Chicago Bears fans, veteran Bears CB Tim Jennings was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September after recording an NFL high four interceptions to go along with 18 tackles, one tackle for a loss and six pass break ups, two of which led to interceptions by other Bears players. His [...]
Bears wide receiver Devin Hester, despite a reduced number of reps, has made an impact on offense, something that has humbled teammate Brandon Marshall.
Bears cornberback Tim Jennings has been named NFC Defensive Plaery of the Month for September after recording a league-high four interceptions.
This Sunday's matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars is an interesting game. Both teams sport stellar defenses, although the Bears certainly have the advantage on that side of the ball, and both teams tend to struggle moving the ball on offense. Again, the Bears have the advantage on offense to, however.
The Jaguars sit at 1-3 and looking for...
After looking lethargic in a 23-6 win over the St. Louis Rams in Week 3, the Chicago Bears had six days to hear criticism on whether or not they can notch a win over a quality team.Monday night the Bears answered the question by waltzing into Cowboys Stadium and throttling the Dallas Cowboys 34-18, to improve to 3-1 on the season. The offense needed a half to get going, but the defense...
We use All 22 film to break down in detail Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall’s late-game, 31-yard touchdown reception against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
The Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars will meet for the sixth time ever on Sunday.
The Bears lead the all-time series 3-2.
The last time these two teams squared was in 2008, when the Bears beat the Jaguars 23-10 at Soldier Field.
The Bears (3-1) are coming off a big 34-18 win on Monday night against Dallas while the Jaguars (1-3) fell to the Bengals 27-10 at home on Sunday...
