Tried to take a cocky risk going against Peyton Manning and got burned big time. My first loss of the year puts me at 8-1 on the season, which ain’t too shabby. Home Team in CAPS Green Bay Packers -3 vs. DETROIT LIONS Week 11 brings us a division battle between the Packers and Lions. Green Bay rolls in off a bye week and on a four game winning streak. All four of those victories were won by at least a touchdown each time and Aaron Rodgers has regained the MVP form he displayed last year. Over his last 5 games Rodgers has 18 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions, that is just flat out incredible. The bye week has allowed wide receiver Jordy Nelson to recuperate and he expects to suit up in this one, while defensive stars Charles Woodson and Clay Mathews will have to miss this one due to injury. Detroit was poised to make a run and try to get into January football, but a loss last week to Minnesota has made that journey harder to picture. Christian Ponder played very well going 24-32 with two touchdowns and avoided to turn the ball over. As for Adrian Peterson, he gashed the Detroit defense for 171 yards on the ground and found the end zone as well. In Minnesota’s three home games this year they have barely squeaked out victories against Seattle and St. Louis while losing to Minnesota earlier in the year. I expect to see Rodgers light up Detroit and come away with a key road victory as these two teams continue to sputter in opposite directions. New Orleans Saints -5 vs. OAKLAND RAIDERS After starting the year 0-4 the Saints come marching into Oakland winners of four of their last five. With a difficult schedule coming up, this game seems to be a must win. The Raiders come into this matchup fresh off a 55-20 route to the Ravens. Drew Brees is tied with Aaron Rodgers with 25 passing touchdowns this year and I expect him to run up the score on this Raiders defense. Lately it hasn’t just been the Drew Brees show because the running game has gashed teams for just under 300 yards total over the last 2 games. With tight end stud Jimmy Graham fully healthy and back to his dominating self, I don’t see a way the Raiders find a way to stop this red hot offense. I expect the Saints to pummel the Raiders this week and easily cover the 5 point spread. PITTSBURGH STEELERS +3 vs. Baltimore Ravens With Ben Roethlisberger injured and unable to suit up, Byron Leftwich will get the call for Pittsburgh to try and lead the Steelers past the Ravens in a battle of the AFC North class. Pittsburgh stands at 6-3, trailing Baltimore in the standings, who boast a 7-2 record. This matchup is the first of two between these two foes and to say these guys don’t like each other is an understatement. The Steelers roll in winners of four straight while Baltimore has won six of their last seven. With Big Ben out, Pittsburgh will have to rely on their running back trio that includes Rashard Mendenhall, Issac Redman, and Jonathon Dwyer.  The game will be a grinder throughout, but I expect the Steelers to win at the wire and tie the Ravens atop the AFC North. -Huberman
