Joey Rodgriguez and VCU are two wins away from the Final Four.
Every few years a mid major team has a chance to prove that it plans on staying on the national stage. Gonzaga has done it because the Zags have been as consistent as any team in the country over the last decade. Butler has done it by reaching the Final Four last year and by knocking off Pittsburgh this season. George Mason has shown that every three to four years it is going to have a decent program, although everyone doubts whether it (or any other Cinderella team) will ever have another year like the Patriots did in 2006.

Either VCU or Florida State (who play each other next week in a Southwest Regional Semifinal) will reach the Elite Eight and be one game away from a national championship. The winner will play the Kansas-Richmond winner.
