FOXBORO, MA - JANUARY 10: Head coach Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots looks on against the Baltimore Ravens during the 2010 AFC wild-card playoff game at Gillette Stadium on January 10, 2010 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)
During Bill Belichick’s post game press conference Sunday night, it was apparent the hooded one was seething, he could barely answer reporter’s questions. Belichick wasn’t satisfied with the Patriots play against the 49ers to say the least; he stood there surly in his demeanor daring reporters to ask a dumb question. It’s tough for a coach right after a game that runs with so much emotion. People can unleash thoughts that they regret later. Belichick was measured in his response Sunday night and was consistent with those thoughts in his Tuesday press conference. "After watching the film, I don’t feel much differently than I did last night. We just didn’t do anything very well or certainly well enough with any kind of consistency," he said. "There were times when we had our moments but not enough of them, not consistently enough. We just didn’t coach well enough, didn’t play well enough, and didn’t execute well enough; too many things we had to overcome in every area,” according to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe. "It wasn’t anything that stood out above the rest; it was just too many problems. We all can do a better job than that; it’s just not winning football." "I thought they fought hard, absolutely. I thought they fought hard and competed well, it just wasn’t good enough. It was just too many bad plays, too many mistakes; it just wasn’t good enough. But yeah, I thought we competed, we fought, and we hung in there until the end. But we just didn’t perform well enough in any area," he said.   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
