NFL Injury Report:
The Buffalo Bills held defensive end Mario Williams out of
yesterday’s practice session due to a sore foot, according to The Associated Press.
Prior to last night’s session, Williams told the Bills that
he was dealing with a sore foot. Following practice, coach Doug Marrone told
reporters of the incident, but didn’t mention the severity of the injury or how
it was sustained.
"Mario reported to our athletic training staff that he
had a sore foot," Marrone said after the two-hour-plus session at the Bills’
training-camp facility in suburban Rochester. "So what we wanted to do was
hold him out of practice and let our medical staff evaluate him."
At this point, it’s unclear how much time, if any, Williams
will miss as a result of the injury. The Bills return to practice this
afternoon, so it will be interesting to see if the defensive end suits up for
Williams entered training camp healthy, based on his
reports. He did not appear to be walking with a limp yesterday, but he did not
participate in any individual or team drills.

Right now, the Bills' highest paid player, Mario Williams, is not participating in practices with the team, and that's cause for some concern and stress, especially if you happen to be the head coach of said team. We won’t be recapping every 2013 Buffalo Bills training camp practice, but since tonight was the first one, let’s look at some notes. Despite what the trolls say, it’s perfectly fine to enjoy the start of the NFL. Away we go:

The first night of training camp is in the books! Unfortunately, I could not be in attendance for the practice, but the Bills’ Twitter feed and website did a great job of keeping fans posted on practice. Here are some news and notes on Buffalo’s first training camp practice.

So far the Buffalo Bills have avoided the injury bug that is plaguing teams across the NFL on the field. However, one of their biggest stars has yet to take the field due to an injury. For the second straight day, Mario Williams did not practice due to a sore foot. Unlike Sunday night, Williams was not in attendance for training camp.
Instead, Williams was off campus getting his...
I have said repeatedly in this column that I am not worried (yet) about Jairus Byrd’s contract situation. It will get worked out and the Bills should not overpay for a safety. If you are going to overpay then do it for a premier pass-rushing defensive end that is in the prime of his career. That’s exactly what Buffalo did last year when they signed Mario Williams to a...
