Found August 19, 2010 on Blue Jays Rant:
The Toronto Blue Jays (63-57) have shown a penchant for coming back against teams during late innings play; however they have also shown an ability to squander their opportunities. That was the exact script for yesterday’s loss ot the Oakland Athletics (59-60). After Toronto rallied from a 3-run deficit to tie the game 4-4 with A’s in the final frame, Blue Jays RHP Casey Janssen entered the game in the bottom of the ninth and subsequently gave-up a hit to Oakland rookie, Steve Tolleson, threw a passed-ball that moved Tolleson to second, and finally the winning run on a Cliff Pennington single to shallow right.   Toronto ended the evening with a 5-4 ninth-inning loss, and also a 2-1 series loss to Oakland to end their California road trip. Overall, the Jays finished their fun in the sun with a 3W-3L record, thus inferring that they may have only had fun half of the time. The Jays will get a day-off on Thursday, and will resume play on Friday against the Boston Red Sox.
