Found August 16, 2013 on The Duck Stops Here:
In his three seasons as a Oregon Duck, Bo Lokombo has been a highlight film player, but can he be an every-down stalwart for Nick Aliotti's defense? Lokombo's always made big plays. He's had some terrific individual games. But playing behind future NFL players like Josh Kaddu, Kiko Alonso, Michael Clay and Dion Jordan, the athletic, talented Bolo has always been a background player for the Ducks, albeit one who shows up in big piles. Fright night: the Ducks need Bo Lokombo to be a scary sight for opposing quarterbacks in 2013 (Aaron Marineau/Oregon Daily Emerald photo).  The 6-3, 233-lb. outside linebacker caught position coach Don Pellum's early as a high school prospect. Pellum and offensive line coach Steve Greatwood attended one of Lokombo's prep basketball games on a scouting trip.  He talked about it with Lucas Clark of the Oregon Daily Emerald.  “He took the baseline and two-hand dunked, and I had no idea that he was that athletic, You can see some t...

This coming year doesn’t...

Receivers shine in fast-paced practice as Ducks earn Friday off

Mark Helfrich gave the Oregon Ducks the day off today after a productive full-pads practice on Thursday afternoon following a morning walk-through. New Sports Illustrated Cover Boy Marcus Mariota was especially sharp in 7-on-7. Rob Moseley of reported that Chance Allen and Blake Stanton made a pair of athletic receptions to help him. Moseley says Allen, a tall, smooth... gives the Ducks a preseason downgrade

Sports Illustrated's legendary college football preview issue is out, and it's a massive but meaningless snub for the Oregon Ducks. The magazine rates the Webfoots fifth in the country, behind Alabama (understandable), Stanford (questionable), Texas A&M (ludicrous), and Ohio State (a tribute to their cream puff schedule). Gabriel Baumgaertner wrote the preview, which...
