NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Virginia Tech has sent kicker Tyler Weiss home for a curfew violation in New Orleans, where the Hokies are preparing to meet Michigan in the Sugar Bowl.
Virginia Tech spokesman Bryan Johnston says Weiss was booked on a bus to Roanoke, Va., after he failed to be present for a 1 a.m. bed check early Thursday.
