Chad Bishop, a Western Kentucky beat writer for the Bowling Green Daily News is reporting that former Louisville coach Bobby Petrino is on the Western Kentucky campus interviewing to become the next head coach for the Hilltoppers. Willie Taggart did a great job at building the WKU program at the NCAA FBS level in his three year tenure at the school. Taggart took the job at South Florida on Friday afternoon. It’s been well documented in recent weeks that Petrino is doing whatever he has to in order get back in coaching. Although he has some obvious character issues, Petrino without a doubt would have some success in Bowling Green. Personally, I’d love to see Petrino get back into coaching at the college level. I can’t speak for all Louisville fans, but his style of play is certainly fun to watch. He still has the highest winning percentage of any Louisville football coach in the history of the program.
