Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge has signed 34-year-old center/power forward, North Carolina graduate Rasheed Wallace, making an already pretty old team older. Now the Celtics are apparently interested in 36-year-old guard Grant Hill. The Duke grad will add veteran leadership to the Celtics' bench. But why on Earth is Danny Ainge continually signing or acquiring veteran players who're just going to keep the team old? During the Celtics' dynasties of the '60s, '70s, and '80s, the Celtics had newer better players constantly coming in. Players who started and ended their basketball careers with the Celtics. Ainge is hustling in a new era of Celtics pride, but this one I don't agree with. The Celtics are doing the polar opposite of what Red Auerbach was doing in the '60s, '70s, and '80s. Personally, I'd rather the Celtics be terrible for a few more years to beef up are young talent via the draft, so then the Celts can rattle off three or fou...
