The Guru Contributing Writer It has been more than a month since Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz last pitched in a game. What started out as a sore neck because he slept funny has turned into a stint on the disabled list and seven weeks of never-ending updates. Here's the latest: Nick Carfardo of the Boston Globe reports that Dr. James Andrews examined Buchholz in Florida and concurs with the Red Sox team medical staff that there is no structural damage in Buchholz's shoulder or neck. Buchholz will continue with his current throwing program. Red Sox manager John Farrell said that, after receiving the good report, Buchholz is more willing to pitch with discomfort. "He's got more of an understanding of what he's experiencing," Farrell said. The discomfort is "not injury related." There is currently no "timetable" for Buchholz return.
