According to a report via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, ex-Detroit Pistons coach Lawrence Frank, has decided to join the coaching staff of his former floor general Jason Kidd.
Lawrence Frank has decided to join Jason Kidd’s staff with the Brooklyn Nets as his lead assistant coach, a league source told ESPNNewYork.com.

According to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, Lawrence Frank has agreed to become an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets.
He will reunite with head coach, Jason Kidd, who he coach both as an assistant an head coach on the New Jersey Nets from 2001-2007.
Frank most recently coached the Detroit Pistons last season, but was fired in April after leading them to a 29-53 overall record.
The Brooklyn Nets keep finding ways to keep their locker room interesting — and complicated. And the next potential Nets move might not be blockbusting but it would be trailblazing.
After announcing an NBA-rocking trade — to become official July 10 — that will bring seasoned veterans Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Barclays Center, a source told The New York Daily News...
The Brooklyn Nets will have a new rookie coach at the start of next season in Jason Kidd, who is not even a year removed from the hardwood. They also will have two veteran all-stars from the Eastern Conference added to their roster. Celtics all-stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will no longer rock with the luck of the Irish as the two have been traded to the Nets.
Check the details...
I will say this – when the Celtics blow **** up, they really blow **** up. According to the WojnoMan, Boston and Brooklyn are in discussions about a deal that would send Garnett and Pierce to New York in exchange for (wait for it) Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, something named Tomike Shengelia and three 1st round picks. I mean…what is it with teams trading valuable assets for...
The Brooklyn Nets are interested in signing Kyle Korver, according to a source.
An unrestricted free agent, Korver shot 45.7 percent from three-point range last season and is a career 41.9 percent shooter from beyond the arc.
Brooklyn ranked 17th last season in team three-point percentage.
Jeff Van Gundy analyzed the trade that will send Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Brooklyn.
"I do think they're a championship-caliber team," Van Gundy said. "If they play well and remain healthy, which is always a challenge for an older team, I think they have the best starting unit talent in basketball."
Pierce and Garnett will presumably join Deron Williams...
The pot got a bit richer for the Boston Celtics on Friday.
The Nets will be sending MarShon Brooks to the Celtics as part of the trade that has Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce being shipped to Brooklyn. There was some confusion over whether Brooks would or would not be involved in the deal, but Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News confirmed it.
Brooks will be replacing Reggie Evans...
The Celtics will reportedly receive three first-round picks (2014,’16, and ’18), Gerald Wallace and his eye-sore of a contract, Kris Joseph, Reggie Evans, Keith Bogans, and the expiring contract of one Kris Humphries. They will also have the right to trade first-round picks with Brooklyn in 2017 if the Nets have the higher pick.
The Nets in return will get the NBA’s version...
The draft was effing crazy (and we’ll get into more on that, I promise), but the big news that reshaped the NBA landscape last night was the Boston Celtics deciding to gut their team…and do it in the most cruel and idiotic way possible, by sending their “beloved” stars to Brooklyn. Couple things: 1st, you couldnt get any more for these guys than Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace...
As the Boston Celtics continue their plans to blow up the roster, and start a full-scale rebuild , new discussions have emerged with the Brooklyn Nets about a potential trade, according to RealGM.com : The Nets could trade Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shenglia and three first round picks to the Celtics for Garnett [...]
The Brooklyn Nets are interested in signing Jason Collins.
Collins became the first openly gay NBA player this offseason.
Collins, who has close ties with Jason Kidd and Lawrence Frank, would presumably sign for the veteran's minimum.
Collins played with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce with the Boston Celtics last season before being traded to the Washington Wizards. Garnett was...
