Ohio State announced earlier today that it will take it's annual Spring Game on the road this year and it's new home will be Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium, the home of the NFL Bengals. Why the move though? Well, OSU will be doing some major work on the stadium this spring and it won't be ready in time for the spring game, which will be held on April 13th. Last season there were over 81,000 fans in attendance at the game - the highest recorded total in the country mind you, and this year it'll likely pack the smaller 65,000 seat Paul Brown Stadium.  Tickets will be priced at $18 for box seats, $12 for general public tickets, and $5 for kids aged 6-12.  Could this perhaps be an annual event for the Buckeyes? I mean it does literally put them in front of a group of people that doesn't have to travel to them. Perhaps they make a trip to Cleveland in April of 2014 to even things out? I mean, just think of the money that they could make from a Spring Game tour around the state over the years?  Or... It could just be a one time deal and they'll return to their home of Ohio Stadium in 2014 and from there on. Logistically it makes about 1000% more sense. No having to make arrangements to travel players, coaches, equipment, and the band. Ya, if I'm the AD I'm taking that option whenever available to me.
