Report: Bills could clean house

The Bills are 5-10 and set to miss the playoffs for a 13th straight season. As a result, significant changes could be in order for the entire team.

Buffalo ready to clean house from front office to team

The Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey era in Buffalo seems to have run its course. Reports are that both will be let go within the next week.  Bills sources indicated the decision on the team's top two football men lies with owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. and that Wilson had yet to make a decision on any of his employees. The common thought is that Gailey is a sure thing to get fired...

Bills show Jets how to properly use the wildcat

Brad Smith took his moment and reminded his former team how to play the wildcat offense. While fans in Buffalo chanted “Tebow-Tebow” it’s safe to say the Bills ran the wildcat better this season than the Jets. Brought in to play the wildcat, Tim Tebow was ineffective and was nothing like the former Jets star who now plays for the Bills. There is no question that after two...

Lowly Bills rout lowly Jets, Sanchez fails in final opportunity

A dismal season all around for both of these teams, but the Buffalo Bills managed to come out on top and finish the season on a high note, routing the New York Jets 28-9. The Jets, due to a concussed Greg McElroy, gave an opportunity to Mark Sanchez once again only for him to disappoint. He turned the ball over twice, with of course, in what has become his season trademark, threw...

C.J. Spiller Breaks Loose For Long TD vs. Jets

Bills running back C.J. Spiller hit a brick wall on most of his runs Sunday against the Jets (just 2.5 yards per carry) but he was able to salvage the afternoon by hauling in a 66-yard strike from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.Fantasy Spin:The touchdown was Spiller's eighth of the season (two receiving, six rushing). Spiller's 1,244 yards rushing in 2012 are a career-high...

2013 NFL Regular Season Schedule: Buffalo Bills

The 2012 NFL season has been filled with disappointment for the Buffalo Bills. Now that the regular season is over, the Bills will be looking ahead to free agency, the 2013 NFL Draft and the 2013 regular season. The Bills were a trendy pick to reach the playoffs at the start of the 2012 season but their season unraveled, and lost seven of their last nine heading into week 17. The...

Bills tight end reached out to visit the injured Firemen in West Webster

On the brink of Christmas many of us were still getting over the fact that the shootings in Connecticut were real, and someone could hurt innocent people.  Well Rochester is very close to one NFL team in the Buffalo Bills who actually have their teams mini camp at St. John Fisher College.  Well today Scott Chandler the Buffalo Bills tight end was there to greet the West Webster...

Bills snap three-game skid with win

C.J. Spiller scored on a 66-yard catch and run in helping the under-achieving Buffalo Bills end their season with a 28-9 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. Safety Bryan Scott also returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown for the Bills (6-10), who snapped a three-game skid. Both AFC East rivals had already been eliminated from playoff contention. Despite the win, the...

My ode to Chan Gailey

If you were to pick the apex for Chan Gailey's tenure in Buffalo..what would it be? You'd probably pick the Pats win last year, wouldn't you? God, that seems so long ago. A dream...that we thought would springboard us into contention. Alas, it was nothing more than a trick. However, I think of that game being Fitz's best moment, so, I'll save it for when I...

True or False: Bills/Jets Edition

As 2012 comes to an end, I look at the Buffalo Bills season as one that was lost. Their schedule was more challenging than expected, but the team still had the potential to win 9-10 games. Unfortunately poor coaching and quarterback play, as well as an inconsistent defense cost the Bills any chance they had of returning to the postseason. I’ve enjoyed this article and I’m sure...

Uncertain offseasons begin for Jets, Bills

Their disappointing seasons having finally come to a close, no one was ready to discuss what changes might be in store for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. ''Let's talk about today, and let's talk about tomorrow or next week at a later date,'' Bills coach Chan Gailey said after a 28-9 season-ending win over the Jets on Sunday. Gailey's on the hot...

Bills' Chopping Block Trio: Gailey, Fitzpatrick, Nix

Though the outcome of Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets may be uncertain, personnel changes in the offseason are looking more and more absolute for the Buffalo Bills. After a number of additions this past offseason boasted expectations of a strong season to come, those hopes fell flat with inconsistent play and a plague of injuries across the board. As the losses have...

Bills honor fallen firefighters with decal

The Buffalo Bills affixed a ''WWFD'' decal on the back of their helmets for Sunday's game against the New York Jets to honor two fallen West Webster volunteer firefighters. Michael Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka were killed in a Christmas Eve ambush when they arrived at a scene of a fire in the Rochester, N.Y. suburb. William Spengler set his lakeside home ablaze...

Week 17 AFC East game picks: Jets at Bills

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the New York Jets' AFC East road contest with the Buffalo Bills. Nick's take: There once was a game this season that saw Mark Sanchez throw three touchdowns and complete over 70 percent of his passes -- Week 1 against the Bills. Sanchez has fallen quite hard since then but gets the...

New York Jets versus Buffalo Bills points spread, line and betting odds

The New York Jets will play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. CBS will carry the game which has a 1 pm EST kickoff from Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, NY. Buffalo saw themselves as playoff contenders this season, instead they have dealt with inconsistency and have made more headlines with talk about actions they will take to secure a franchise quarterback. The Jets recently...
