As if the Chicago Bulls had not battled through enough injuries this season, they are dealing with one more.  Richard Hamilton injured his left foot last night and had to exit the game against the Philadelphia 76ers in the third quarter.  It was bad enough that Hamilton was unable to walk off the court under his own power.  He had to be helped to the bench by teammates. According to Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago, Hamilton will undergo an MRI on the foot today.  The MRI was scheduled after X-Rays showed no fracture.  Hamilton was able to return to the game with just over 20 seconds to play.  He made it through those final 20 seconds, but the injury has Hamilton concerned."Just the simple fact that there was nobody around," he said of the play in which the injury occurred. "They always say the worst injuries are when nobody's around and you didn't fall down on nobody's foot or anything like that so it's just one of them things that when it happened it scared me. When I felt it I didn't want to put no pressure on it, but it wasn't a whole lot of pain. That's why it was so freaky to me." Hamilton has averaged 13.9 points per game this season.  In his career, Hamilton has averaged 17.4 points per game and 3.4 assists per game.  He has become an integral part of the Bulls offense in Derrick Rose's absence.  If he has to miss extended time, it will be yet another blow to a team just trying to get by right now.The Bulls are hanging in there this season through the injuries.  They are 8-7 on the year.  Rose is expected back in a couple months, but there is still not an exact timeframe for his return.
