According to KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Bulls have traded Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks. Could be a sign-and-trade deal with Kirk Hinrich which would free up the Mini Mid-Level Exception. Chicago had planned to use the MMLE on Hinrich, and if a sign-and-trade is used, it will give them the ability to use it on another free agent. Either way, Bulls wanted to free up Korver’s $5 million salary and escape the $500,000 he would be owed if waived. More details soon….
