According to ESPN.com, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson now has his owner Transformers “Megatron” action figure thanks to Nike and Hasbro. Nike, which sponsors Johnson’s shoes, and Hasbro, which created the Transformers, collaborated for the Nike CJ81 Megatron Trainer Max, a purple-and-red shoe that has a matching Megatron Decepticon action figure. Johnson is in disbelief that he has his own action figure. “Never thought that would happen,” Johnson said. The transformer is actually part of a three-shoe package for Nike, which will have the Trainer Max, the Megatron Nike Air Trainer SC II and the Nike CJ81 Megatron Elite TD Cleat. Nike is selling a limited edition Megatron Rises 3-Pack, featuring all three shoes and the action figure. There are 81 of them being made available for sale. “They are coming out with a little package or something like that,” Johnson said. “It’s going to be cool. It’s a cool little deal. “I think kids will like it. I think everybody will like it. It’s cool shoes, plus you get a little toy.” Need NFL Tickets? Loading...
