The Canton Charge, the exclusively owned and operated D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers, begin their season tonight at home at the Memorial Civic Center. With opening-day on the mind, the Charge and the Cavaliers officially announced the team’s initial roster with a few last-minute changes. Here’s a look at the team as listed by position, name, age and university: G Kevin Anderson, 24, Richmond G Jorge Guiterrez, 23, California G Kyle Gibson, 25, Louisiana Tech SG D’Aundray Brown, 24, Cleveland State G/F Antoine Agudio, 27, Hofstra F Ryan Rossiter, 23, Siena F Alex Ruoff, 26, West Virginia PF Kevin Jones, 23, West Virginia F/C Arinze Onuaku, 25, Syracuse C Michael Eric, 24, Temple Notably, Anderson, Brown, Jones and Eric all participated, at least briefly, with the Cavs during training camp this offseason. Eric and Jones were two of the final cuts, while Anderson and Brown were late additions that weren’t ever expected to really compete for an NBA roster spot just yet. The final addition to Canton’s roster today was Agudio, last year’s D-League leader with a 53.9% mark in three-point shooting. He started all six of Canton’s playoff games during their inaugural season. The Charge begin their 50-game regular season schedule tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Maine Red Claws (D-League affiliate of the Boston Celtics).
