The Cardinals will bring Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy in for a second interview on Tuesday, as first reported by Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. The opportunity for the interview was made possible when Denver, the AFCs top playoff seed, lost at home to Baltimore on Saturday.
Cards defensive coordinator Ray Horton is the only other known candidate who has had two interviews. The Cardinals had Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden in for an interview last week and may have interviewed Steelers OC and former Cards OC Todd Haley last week, although there were conflicting reports on that front.
McCoys second interview opens the possibility that the hiring process could move very fast, perhaps coming to a resolution within the next couple of days. There are no other known candidates, and with the possible exception of Haley, the Cards have been relatively transparent in this hiring process.
