NOTABLE
This is the teams second meeting in six days. The Pistons have won the last three by an average of 20.5 ppg. In other words, for a team thats not any good, the Pistons sure have owned a decided advantage lately. Cavs G Dion Waiters (ankle) remains doubtful. Anderson Varejao scored a season-low four points in a loss Friday at Minnesota, ending his streak of consecutive double-doubles at 10. Varejao also grabbed 14 rebounds. Before that, he collected at least 15 in 10 straight games. The Cavs are the only Central Division team to have yet to win a game within the division (0-4). The Pistons lead the all-time series, 113-78. They are coming off a home loss Friday vs. Chicago. Frank spent 3 seasons as an assistant under Scott in New Jersey.

Kevin Jones makes his NBA debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers
Kevin Jones dominated the D-League this season.
In five games he averaged 23.6 points and 12.6 rebounds on 53 percent shooting.
During the Cavaliers 91-73 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, he earned his way onto the NBA floor for the first time.
It's possible that Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters helped out by keeping a watchful eye on the baby he's been...
Cavaliers Film Room: The Syracuse Kid
In last week’s Cavaliers Film Room, we broke down three end-game scenarios where the Cavaliers failed to execute in close losses. This week, we’ll focus on the team’s rookie shooting guard, Dion Waiters. We’ve seen some brilliant performances from Dion even in the absence of his playmaking partner in the backcourt, Kyrie Irving. On the other hand, there have been some incredibly...
Box Score: Pistons 104 Cavs 97
After holding a three point lead at half time, the Cavaliers fell behind shortly in the third quarter and could never quite catch up. Cleveland made a strong push in the fourth quarter, getting stop after stop on the defensive end, but continously came up empty on the offensive side of the ball.
The Cavs were led by another strong showing from Jeremy Pargo who finished with 24...
Things Aren’t Getting Better For The Cleveland Cavaliers As They Lose To The Pistons 104-97
The Cleveland Cavaliers (4-17) fell to a team many thought they could beat, the Detroit Pistons (7-15). The Cavs have to find a way to play some defense, the lack of team defense has been the Cavaliers problem this season. The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to play well offensively, the team is giving up far too many points to the opposition. For Cavs fans it is just another season...
Cavs' plan of attack painful at moment
CLEVELAND -- Five straight. Nine of 10. Fifteen of 17.
If there's one constant this season, it's that the Cavaliers are finding ways not to win. They've done it while trailing for an entire game. They've done it while leading late in the fourth quarter. They've done it by keeping things close and by getting blown out (although, in their defense, not much of the...
Cavaliers (4-15) at Timberwolves (8-9)
OPENING TIP
Anderson Varejao leads the NBA in rebounding at 15.4 per game. Hes recorded 10 straight double-doubles. Hes recorded 10 straight games of at least 15 rebounds.
More precisely, in the previous 10 games, Varejao is averaging 17.4 rebounds per game. In the Cavs four wins, hes at 18.8 rpg.
On top of that, Varejao is the Cavs top scorer (15.0 ppg) and arguably their best...
Varejao trade destinations…or lack there of
Anderson Varejao was everything I loved about basketball. He was hustle, he was emotion, he was heart. He was 36 minutes of controlled chaos, spinning a fury around opposing frontcourts.
But not anymore.
He’s now much, much more than that.
The Wild Thing is no longer a gimmicky role player, he’s the best center in the Eastern Conference and one of the best players in...

Cavaliers-Timberwolves Preview Q&A
Jim Mone, Associated Press
Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-15, 13th in the East) travel to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves (8-9, 11th in the West). Once again this is another battle of two teams without their starting PGs. This is getting to be a theme for this season with the Cavaliers recently playing Memphis without Mike Conley and Chicago without Derrick Rose. Tonight...
Pistons-Cavaliers Preview
Kyrie Irving won't be able to help. Rookie guard Dion Waiters wishes he could, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Likely missing their top two scorers for a fourth consecutive game, the host Cavaliers will look to snap a four-game losing streak Saturday night when they face the Detroit Pistons for the second time in six days.
Out the last 10 games with...
