Here’s the latest on the current CBA negotiations, thanks to the fine people at ESPN. Both sides are still squabbling over finanical transparency and this could be the straw that breaks that proverbial camel’s back. The new deadline is set to expire on Friday. Whether or not another extension is passed, a CBA gets done or things go to hell remains to be seen but this issue with the finanical information will be a very good litmus test for the way things are going. As we quoted him saying earlier, NFL general counsel Jeff Pash feels the finanical transparency issue has been adequately addressed. The NFLPA obviously doesn’t agree.
