Found April 15, 2012 on Celtics Town:
The moral of the story: The Charlotte Bobcats are one of the worst NBA teams in history, and the Celtics — even without any of their three surefire Hall of Famers — aren’t.I haven’t watched the game yet due to outside work obligations, but when I get to it late tonight I look forward to observing the continued development of Avery Bradley’s offensive game.

Recap: Bradley, Garnett lead Celtics over Nets

Is there anything Avery Bradley can't do? The kid nailed three three-pointers during a decisive third quarter run that propelled the Celtics to a 92-84 victory in New Jersey. Bradley (18 points, 7-14 FG) looked like Ray Allen during the 3rd quarter. He'd drift to an open spot, get the ball from Rajon Rondo (15 assists) and nail jumper after jumper after jumper after...

Avery Bradley Confirms He Finds Three-Game, Three-Night Stretch 'Fun,' Reminds Him of High School Days

A bunch of scientists and theologians got together a few years back and agreed that playing endless hours of basketball as a teenager was the most fun thing that could ever happen in life. You can look it up, honestly. You may not find any evidence of anyone ever actually saying such a thing, but feel free to look it up. Anyway, Avery Bradley subscribes to that theory. That was why...

Bradley and Bass help Celtics cruise past Nets: BOS 94 NJ 82

The Celtics had fallen down by as much as nine early in the game, but a strong third quarter had the C's pulling away from the New Jersey Nets in New Jersey, and they coasted to a 94-82 win. It was the last game the Celtics will ever play in New Jersey, as the Nets will be moving to Brooklyn. The Celtics (35-25) shot 45.7% from the field and out-rebounded the Nets 51-42. Kevin...

Comments from the other side - Raptors 4/13

I remember when Raptors game threads were had over a hundred pages each. Now, it's more like in the teens. It was hilarious that they were actually cheering for the Celtics because a win would be a set back to their ping pong ball total. Comments after losses usually aren't much fun but these are hilarious as the Raptor fans cheer for the Celtics and get mad when they lose...

Enemy Chatter: Avery Bradley pulled a Gary Payton

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Toronto. This was a quarter where Avery Bradley did a Gary Payton on DeMar DeRozan; with no Andrea Bargnani or Jose Calderon in the lineup, and DeRozan shying away from doing any real work, the Raptors managed...

Ray Allen's Importance to Celtics Reinforced in Loss to Raptors

While the Celtics were rolling with Avery Bradley in the starting lineup, it was tempting to dismiss the idea that Ray Allen still needed to fit in there somewhere. The defense-oriented mindset work so well against several quality teams that shooting seemed overrated. Maybe the Celtics needed a loss like Friday's 84-79 defeat to the lowly Raptors to remind them that the most...

Celtics bring everything but their talent, lose to the Raptors 84-79

This was not a fun game to watch.  Even worse was the fact that I offered to sub in to handle the recap tonight for another staff member.  Boy did he luck out as the Celtics forgot to bring their talents tonight as they lost to the Toronto Raptors, 84-79. Rajon Rondo did not record a point or rebound in the first three quarters.  To me, this highlighted everything wrong with...

Comments from the other side - Bobcats 4/15

Gotta feel for Bobcats fans.   No talk of tanking here.  Forget ping pong balls, they just want a win.  Any win.  Just not to be the worst team in NBA history.  I think my favorite comment was this one: "Even though we're a horrible team, and we suck, atleast we're not the Kings!" with the one asking if Bass was aware that he was allowed to pass to his...

Celtics 94, Nets 82

Avery Bradley hit three straight 3-pointers and scored 11 of his 18 points in a game-deciding third quarter as the surging Boston Celtics defeated the New Jersey Nets 94-82 Saturday night. Kevin Garnett had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Celtics, who have won 10 of 13, and 20 of 28 to take over first place in the Atlantic Division. Rajon Rondo added 15 assists, Brandon Bass...

Celtics 94, Nets 82: A rebound victory for the Celtics

The Boston Celtics arrived at the Prudential Center 60 minutes before their game with the New Jersey Nets, almost as if they were readying for an AAU game rather than an actual Atlantic Division competition. Regardless of how little time their 86-minute bus ride afforded them during pregame at the Prudential Center, the Celtics took care of business against their latest sub-.500...

Join NESN.com Celtics Reporter Ben Watanabe for Twitter Q&A on Tuesday at Noon

Each member of the Big Three was out of the lineup on Sunday night, but it didn't stop the Celtics from rolling past the Bobcats. The win marked Boston's second in a row, and the Celtics are 13-4 over their last 17 games. In other words, the C's are rolling, which comes at the right time with the playoffs right around the corner. But while the Celtics have already locked...

Orlando Magic Make Ideal First-Round Opponent for Celtics in Wide-Open Eastern Conference (Podcast)

The Boston Celtics have emerged as a legitimate playoff contender in the Eastern Conference, but it hasn't been easy getting there. Thanks to the emergence of now-starter Avery Bradley and the slow but steady development of role players like Greg Stiemsma, the C's have scratched and clawed their way into the playoffs. Now, they find themselves battling for home-court advantage...

Recap: Celtics toy with Bobcats

Even without Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, the Celtics were too good tonight for the Charlotte Bobcats. The C's won it, 94-82. Avery Bradley (22 points, 9-14 FG, 2-3 3 FG) has my undying faith. When he takes pull-up jumpers on the break, or spots up in the corner for 3, I fully expect him to make the shot. Incredible. Rajon Rondo (20 points, 16 assists, 6 rebounds...

Recap: Raptors see opportunity and pounce

The Celtics fall to the lowly Raptors tonight, 84-79 in Toronto. An extremely frustrating loss. The C's were up by 13 points about halfway through the 2nd after a Ryan Hollins free-throw made it 30-17. Then they virtually disappeared. They did what we've seen them do in past games like this-made a "too little, too late" run in the...
