American cyclist Floyd Landis, who tested positive following his Tour de France win in 2006 therefore having the title stripped, has admitted to systematic doping and is now the latest cyclist pointing the finger at 7-time Tour de France Champion Lance Armstrong.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Landis claimed guilt in emails that he sent off to sponsors and cycling officials and also accused fellow cyclists of doping. He also reportedly admitted the same to ESPN, claiming “I don’t want to be part of the problem anymore.” Reportedely, Landis claims he and other cyclists conducted blood transfusions, and used steroids and a synthetic blood booster called erythropoietin or as it is more widely known as, EPO.

Who taught Landis how to cheat? Well, according to him it was none other than Lance Armstrong.

“He and I had lengthy discussions about it on our training rides during which time he also explained to me the evolution of EPO testing and how transfusions were now necessary due to the inconvenience of the new test,”

Landis would go on to say that he has no regrets about cheating, or ya know, tarnishing the most beloved cycling event:

“I don’t feel guilty at all about having doped,” he added. “I did what I did because that’s what we [cyclists] did and it was a choice I had to make after 10 years or 12 years of hard work to get there.

“My choices were, do it and see if I can win, or don’t do it and I tell people I just don’t want to do that, and I decided to do it.”

So in conclusion, Floyd Landis denied cheating for years until he realized that he couldn’t change facts of a positive drug test, doesn’t feel guilty about that cheating, just about getting caught, and wants to try and sully the name of the greatest cyclist ever in the process. Yeah, I would take this liar’s word. Hope he hears from Lance’s attorney’s soon.
