Besides Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, nobody was more pleased to see Rashad Evans lose on Saturday night at UFC 156 than Chris Weidman (Pictured). UFC president Dana White hinted earlier this week that a victorious Evans could be middleweight king Anderson Silva’s next opponent. However, a lackluster performance which lead to a disappointing loss has erased Evans from that chatter. So, that has to leave Weidman for next dibs at Silva’s crown, right Dana? “I would have to say yes,” White stated at Saturday’s post-fight press conference. “Going into this fight anyway we wanted to wait, we wanted to see what happens, and I liked Weidman for this [Silva] fight anyway, so yeah.” Well, if you wanted “The All-American” all along, what was the point in waiting?
