Cincinnati head coach Butch Jones met with the media earlier this week to recap the Bearcats loss to Toledo and briefly look ahead to this week’s matchup with Louisville. Here are some quotes from Jones when asked about Louisville, courtesy of GoBearcats.com. “Offensively when you think of Louisville, you think of Teddy Bridgewater and he can manage their offense. Extremely accurate, knows where he’s going with the football. Not only can he beat you throwing the football but he can beat you running the football. Very big strong offensive line. Physical. Want to run the football.  Great length out on the perimeter. Just a very, very good football team. Then defensively, blitzed oriented. They are extremely deep at the corner and safety position, linebacker position. Big up front. It’s going to be a challenge. I know they’re going to try to stop the run. They are going to put the ball in the hand s of our quarterback and say, ‘beat us.’ We have to do a good job on the perimeter of win...

Cincinnati Quarterback Munchie Legaux Says He’s Better Than Teddy Bridgewater

I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but Cincinnati starting quarterback Munchie Legaux has certainly given Louisville some bulletin board material for Friday night’s match-up. When asked by the media this afternoon if he saw any similarities between himself and Teddy Bridgewater, Legaux simply responded “I’m better.” I’m sure every quarterback has to maintain a...

Louisville celebrates Keg of Nails victory with Keg Stand

Louisville kept their undefeated alive by coming out on top of a wild Big East contest against Cincinnati. Teddy Bridgewater passed for over 400 yards and he and Munchie Legaux were each able to put together late touchdown drives to send the game in to overtime. It was a wild fourth quarter as Louisville battled back against a Cincinnati defense that was looking gassed perhaps overdoing...

Louisville 34, Cincinnati 31: Cardinals Win Keg of Nails, Remain Undefeated

At times it felt like we were witnessing a Big 12 game out there as Louisville (8-0, 3-0) pulled out a crazy 34-31 overtime victory over rival Cincinnati (5-2, 1-1) and took home The Keg of Nails for the first time in five seasons. Even sweeter for Louisville is the fact that they improved to 8-0 and kept their chances at being in a BCS bowl alive and well. Before the game Munchie...

Cincinnati attempts to rebound after Toledo

While Louisville looks to keep alive the dream of an undefeated season, Cincinnati can only try to ruin that hope after blowing its own chance at one. The toughest test yet for the 16th-ranked Cardinals, and maybe their biggest until the season finale, appears to come Friday night when they host a Bearcats team coming off its first loss. All but one of Louisville's victories...

Bearcats Drop OT Thriller to Louisville

I don't feel like doing a whole post on the Louisville 34-31 victory over Cincinnati, so I'll do 10 things that stand out to me after the game.  1) Damn that 4th quarter was a lot of fun  You had Teddy Bridgewater throwing gorgeous deep passes on a 93 yard drive to tie the score. DeVante Parker broke a catch for 64 yards when a 1 handed Deven Drane made a horrible...
