He is eligible for free agency after this season.Snell, 27, was demoted to Triple-A after going 2-8 with a 5.36 ERA for Pittsburgh. In six minor-league starts, he is 2-2 with a 0.96 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings.
