Cleveland Indians release Mark Grudzielanek and Jamey Wright

According to Buster Olney of ESPN, the Cleveland Indians have released Mark Grudzielanek and Jamey Wright. Grudzielanek, 39, was designated for assignment on Tuesday.  The team signed him to a Minor League contract last January.  He appeared in 30 games for the Indians. He hit .273 with 11 RBIs. Wright was 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 18 appearances this year.  Opponents were hitting .294 against him. He was designated for assignment by the team last week.
