According to Buster Olney of ESPN, the Cleveland Indians have released Mark Grudzielanek and Jamey Wright.
Grudzielanek, 39, was designated for assignment on Tuesday. The team signed him to a Minor League contract last January. He appeared in 30 games for the Indians. He hit .273 with 11 RBIs.
Wright was 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 18 appearances this year. Opponents were hitting .294 against him. He was designated for assignment by the team last week.
