In 2013, blasting one’s private interactions with athletes via social media has become practically the norm. But there were some athletes who already had a glimpse of what the future would hold and had chicks signing confidentiality agreements with abortion clauses way back in 2007. JJ Redick was a young second year player back then playing for the Orlando Magic in 07 dating a woman named Vanessa Lopez. Redick- or someone savvy in his life that he trusted – was smart enough to put together a contract that stipulates that Vanessa Lopez, the woman he was dating at the time, would be paid $25K to abort her pregnancy and go away quietly. The contract also called for her not to stalk or expose him as the potential father, should he decide the relationship was over. There are a bunch of other clauses and stipulations. Looking at the current state of athlete relations, I can see more taking a look at keeping these documents on stand by. Side note in all this, Vanessa Lopez is definitely apart of the athlete referral program, she attempted to sue Shaq following their “relationship” – the suit was eventually dismissed and Lopez was cut-up by the judge who said she was a liar- and also had a “situation” with Kenyon Martin.   JJ was just traded to the Clippers . I know we don’t have to worry about the Hollywood lights getting him caught up! Curtsy to Deadspin
