As if the waters weren’t already choppy enough in Knoxville. Kameron Miles, the top defensive back prospect in the Tennessee Volunteers’ 2013 recruiting class de-committed last night. Miles opted to stay in-state and play for Texas A&M. The Aggies—suddenly receiving a swelling of publicity after their upset of the Alabama Crimson Tide last weekend—are an attractive commodity in the SEC and many a prospect is likely to take a longer look now that the Aggies are so firmly in the spotlight; they certainly got Miles’ attention. “When I got that offer from A&M, I was excited,” Miles recently told ESPN.com. “I just felt like it gave me another opportunity to look at another school that’s got a new coach and a program that’s going in the right direction. Coach [Kevin] Sumlin’s a real cool coach.” The 6-foot-2, 200-pound, safety out of Mesquite, Tex., was the highest rated player in Tennessee’s 2013 recruiting class to date, according to Rivals.com’s rankings. He is rated as a four-star prospect, the 125th best player nationally and the 12th best safety.
