It’s a good thing I don’t wager any real money when I write things like “I’d bet anything Wright will be back in the lineup on Tuesday against the Giants.” Yes, it was another egg-in-the-face moment for me and my incessant speculations. Obviously, David Wright was not back in the lineup on Tuesday and according to manager Terry Collins, he probably will not play during the three-game series. The captain continues to work his way back from a strained right hamstring and has made great progress, but Collins said he’s been a “little sore” after pushing through numerous running and fielding drills. “He’s been a little stiff. The day off really helped him. He felt great today. He looked great today,” Collins said. “We talked the other day and we feel that under the circumstances, he’s not ready to go just yet.” It’s still possible that Wright could return this weekend, but nothing has been set in stone and the team will wait and see how Wright responds to more running and fielding d
