One of the crucial points of the game came in the second when the Colts knocked the ball loose from Manning and scored a safety. The Colts would get the ball back and promptly put it right back in the endzone when Luck found Stanley Havili on a 20-yard pass.

At halftime the Colts held a 26-14 lead and found ways to keep Manning at bay early in the third quarter.
