It seems like every departing free agent this year has taken out an ad thanking fans of the team he is leaving behind. I haven’t given the majority of them any attention on the site, mostly because that would involve writing the word “classy” more than I care to. I do, however, enjoy new Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin’s send-off to the various restaurants and eateries that he’s enjoyed during his stay in Houston. Much less sappy than the usual “Thanks for the [??] years of support. You’re the best!” message. Plus, I can understand an appreciation of food more than an affinity with people. He also thanks a delivery guy. Aww, how sweet. CLASSY CLASSY CLASSY CLASSY. The post Connor Barwin Gives a Foodie Farewell to Houston appeared first on Kissing Suzy Kolber.

Eagles May Not Have Option to Draft Geno Smith; Interest in Winston Signal No OT at No. 4?

If QB Geno Smith is on the board when the Philadelphia Eagles are on the clock at pick No. 4, Chip Kelly and Howie Roseman have a huge decision to make.  However, their decision may be made for them prior to their pick… Russe Lande over at National Football Post posted this little nugget in his latest mock draft: 3. Oakland Raiders: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia, Senior: While...

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson bought your rich grandmother’s home (PICS)

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson won’t be spending his offseasons in Philly.  The Los Angeles, California native recently bought what appears to be the home of yours (or somebody’s) rich grandmother in Tarzana, California. Jackson, who just signed a five-year $47 million contract with the Eagles last offseason, should at least be given credit for not maxing out...

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins have reached an agreement with DE Darryl Tapp on a one-year deal. Tapp, 28, was limited to playing just 257 snaps for the Eagles last season, but despite the limited role, he’s been a fairly productive player for them, according to Pro Football Focus’ ratings. He’ll be asked to move to outside linebacker next season, but he...

Report: Colts Trade For Eagles FB Stanley Havili

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Philadelphia Eagles have traded FB Stanley Havili to the Indianapolis Colts for DE Clifton Geathers. With the Eagles signing James Casey, who’s more of a versatile player, Havili was largely expendable now that they’ve brought in Chip Kelly as their new head coach. Havili, 25, was rated as a slightly above average fullback last season...

Philadelphia Eagles add another piece to new defense with DE Clifton Geathers

The Philadelphia Eagles continued to make moves to shore up their new defense by acquiring DE Clifton Geathers  from the Colts on Thursday in a trade, giving up fullback Stanley Havili. Former Vikings coach Brad Childress is reuniting with Andy Reid in Kansas City, working on the spread game and special projects.

Report: Andy Reid Compares Geno Smith To Young Donovan McNabb

The Kansas Chiefs hold all the leverage in the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft.  They have a capable quarterback on the roster, so what they choose to do with the #1 overall pick is not of the utmost urgency. The Chiefs can draft Luke Joeckel, Shariff Floyd, Geno Smith or trade the pick to one of several teams who need a quarterback. Andy Reid is as shrewd as they come and he’s playing...
