Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys and DE Anthony Spencer have ”ended” discussions regarding a long-term extension. Ian Rapoport spoke with Spencer’s agent who also mentioned that long-term talks between the two sides have broken off. Watkins adds that Spencer will enter the 2013 season with the “expectation that he will become a free agent.“ Spencer, 29, received the team’s franchise tag and will make $10.6 million for the upcoming season. He was arguably the best pass-rusher on the open market this year, but the Cowboys will move him from outside linebacker to defensive end, so we’ll have to see how he does in a defensive scheme before estimating his value as a free agent. We have Spencer listed as the No. 25 player in our Top 50 –  2014 Free Agents list. The post Cowboys & Anthony Spencer End Talks Regarding Long-Term Extension appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
