The Dallas Cowboys reached a little in the first two rounds of this year's NFL draft, leaving a lot of folks scratching their heads. But the Cowboys did a good job of rebounding and possibly saving this draft in rounds three and five. In drafting Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams, the Cowboys landed a playmaker that was highly productive in college and has the ability to be a factor immediately. Williams had 1,832 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns last season, a year after finishing with 957 yards and 11 scores. And spending a third-round pick on a wide receiver has proved to be productive in recent history. Here are a few receivers you might have heard of that were drafted in that round: T.Y. Hilton, Emmanuel Sanders, Eric Decker, Mike Wallace and Mario Manningham. If Dez Bryant or Miles Austin is sidelined during the season, Tony Romo has a nice option to fall back on in Williams. Even if Bryant and Austin remain healthy, Williams is talented enough to find time in three-receiver sets. In the fifth round, the Cowboys were fortunate to have Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle fall to them. Randle was a major factor in the running and passing game at OSU and should be a nice compliment to DeMarco Murray. Randle rushed for 24 touchdowns in 2011 and 14 in 2011. With Felix Jones out of the picture, don't be surprised if Randle gets over 100 touches in 2013. Has there been any recent late-round success at running back? Look no further than the Washington Redskins' sixth-round pick from last year, Alfred Morris. The 173rd overall selection rushed for 1,613 yards and 13 touchdowns in his rookie season. Murray is obviously the team's No. 1 back and will get the bulk of the carries when he's healthy, but Randle should make an impact when Murray needs a rest. Had the Cowboys not drafted Randle and Williams this class would be looking like a C- to D grade, with them, the Cowboys are somewhere between a C and a B-.
