The Phoenix Coyotes recalled goaltender Justin Pogge on an emergency basis from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL). The 6-foot-3, 197 pound Pogge has appeared in seven games with the Pirates this season, posting a record of 3-2-2-0 with a 3.22 goals against average (GAA) and a .891 save percentage (SV%). In 2010-11, Pogge appeared in 48 games with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL), registering a 22-18-1-4 record with a 3.12 GAA and a .907 SV%. No word yet on what prompted this move.
