Jason Terry (#31) buys a headfake from Deron Williams (#8) during the Dallas Mavericks' 6-point victory against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.

Former Illinois point guard Deron Williams had a better individual performance compared to the last time the Utah Jazz played the Dallas Mavericks, but the team results were the same on Saturday night.

The red-hot Mavs led by 25 points in the first half and held on late following a furious Jazz comeback in the second half to win its league-best 12th straight game.

Here’s a look at Williams’ night.

34 points (12-22 shooting, 2-4 from three, 8-9 from free throw line), 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 turnover, 2 steals and 4 fouls in 40:35.

Former Illini Luther Head was also in action on Saturday night.

Alright.

Until next time.
