Robbie Erlin was stellar for the Padres in last night’s 2-0 win over the Dodgers. He pitched his best game yet: 7.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 SO. Buddy Black pulled Erlin in the middle of the seventh after his pitch-count reached 105, but no matter, the bullpen kept the Dodgers off the board as Huston Street recorded his 32nd save of the season, sealing Erlin’s third major league win.
For tonight’s game, the Padres send Burch Smith to the mound to face Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers. Make sure to tune-in at 5:40 PT as the Padres look to win their sixth game in seven days. Go Padres…oh yeah, and #BeatLA.
