ANAHEIM - The Yankees plan on discussing their fifth starter situation during the All-Star break, but Sergio Mitre may have helped make that decision a little easier Sunday. Mitre tossed eight shutout innings for Triple-A Scranton, giving up six hits without walking a batter and striking out five in a win over Buffalo. The righty is 3-1 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts for Scranton, giving the Yankees a viable option to step into the No. 5 slot on July 21 against the Orioles. Mitre hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2007. He has a career ERA+ of 81 (FIP 4.62). He also underwent Tommy John surgery in July of last year. Your thoughts?
