If nothing else, last night’s historic Orioles comeback win over Boston proved one thing - don’t fall asleep on the O’s. The Red Sox fell asleep during one of those bursts of summer rain and humidity unique to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful day, John Smoltz dealing, the stands full of nutsacks rooting for the Sox. Before anyone finished beer number one, Boston had abused O’s starter Rich Hill for four runs. And by the middle of the fifth, Red Sox led 9-1. Another embarassing asskicking, rubbed raw by the thousands of fans rooting for the visitors. Roberts scores the Orioles' 11th run. And then, proof that God exists. Out of nowhere, a sudden, soaking rain settled on Camden Yards. I let myself hope...
