It seems UFC president Dana White gets asked the same questions after every Anderson Silva (Pictured) or Jon Jones victory – ‘You always claim to give fans the fights they want, will Jones face Silva now?’ or ‘Silva has already cleaned out the middleweight division, when will he challenge Jones for his light heavyweight title?’

Following Silva’s TKO victory over Chael Sonnen on Saturday night, take a wild guess at what White was asked at the UFC 148 post-fight press conference?

“I don’t ever tell guys whether to move up or down [in weight],” White stated. “Anderson Silva is the greatest fighter in the history of mixed martial arts. I’m in awe of this guy. He does things to people that other people can’t do. He’s 37 going on 38 years old. He doesn’t look like he’s slowing down.

“Unless Anderson Silva calls me up on the phone and tells me he wants to go to 205 [pounds] … 185 pounds is the weight that he likes. It’s the weight he loves and it’s the weight that he’s absolutely and completely dominated.”

When Silva was asked if a blockbuster bout against Jones piqued his interest, the Brazilian didn’t need Portuguese to provide his response.

“Nope,” Silva flatly stated.

As far as Jones is concerned, the 24-year-old took to his Twitter and echoed a similar response.

“I guess Anderson said he had no interest in fighting me at tonight’s press conference, I feel the same way about him. Nothing but respect,” Jones tweeted.

Jones is slated to defend his crown against Dan Henderson at UFC 151. Silva, meanwhile, has no preference as to who his next potential victim should be. Oh yeah, “The Spider” reiterated his desire to fight his own clone.
