The Daniel Alfredsson era in Ottawa has officially come to a close. On Friday, the Red Wings announced via Twitter that the former Senators captain and Detroit have agreed to a deal. Ottawa Sun’s Bruce Garrioch reports that the deal is for one year and $5.5 million. Earlier Friday, Garrioch reported that Alfredsson was heading to either Detroit or Boston.
