Defense delivers in big spots as Jets hold off Titans

The Jets' first two wins this season proved Rex Ryan 's defense could bring the pressure, but the question against Tennessee running back Chris Johnson , who came in averaging 8.2 yards per carry, was whether the Jets could muscle up and stop the run.As linebacker Bart Scott saw it, the answer to that question was an unequivocal yes.Johnson had 97 yards on 22 carries, but 50 yards of that total came on two runs; his other 20 carries were limited to 47 yards.
