Found November 29, 2012 on Orlando Magic Daily:
The Magic's hot shooting had to run out at some point. After making shots seemingly at will in the first three games of this five-game homestand, the Magic were going to regress to their mean at some point. To come crashing down like they did Wednesday might not have been quite what the Magic expected. To lose all focus on the defensive end and allow an opponent to run pick and rolls and offense with impunity? Some of that might have to do with the opponent. Some of it certainly does not. The Spurs were deathly efficient as they typically are on the offensive end. Tony Parker had his way getting into the paint on pick and rolls, Manu Ginobili was draining 3-pointers at will and Gary Neal soon followed him in the second half and the Magic could not do enough to chip away at the lead. Every Orlando run after giving up the lead on a 13-0 run to San Antonio in the first quarter was met with a big play from San Antonio and a scoring drought. This might very well have ...

Glen Davis learns leadership

Glen Davis stood at his locker following Orlando's 116-110 overtime loss to Boston on Sunday and faced the media. The typically gregarious big man was quiet and contemplative like many of his teammates following a game that the team felt slipped through its fingers. Davis, just a few nights before, was joking about the turkey leg he grabbed from the FSFlorida promotion before...

Getting to know the Magic: Arron Afflalo

Hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar wrote in his recent single, Black Boy Fly, that growing up he used to be jealous of his childhood friend, Arron Afflalo. Well, who wouldnt be? The do-it-all guard for the Orlando Magic has had an inner drive to be the best since his toddler days in Compton, Calif. From the McDonalds All-American game, to the Final Four in the NCAA, and now even in...

Spurs-Magic Preview

Spurs' Parker back on track

After an up and down start to the year, Tony Parker is back on track. TP has been on fire over the last week and although teammate Tim Duncan won Western Conference Player of the Week, Parker likely gave him some competition. Parker got things rolling last Wednesday with a 26 point, six assist performance against Boston. He followed that up with 33 and 10 against Indiana and...

Photo: Tim Duncan & Tony Parker Hold A Fake Joey Crawford At Gunpoint

Remember when Tony Parker dressed up as Nick Fury and Tim Duncan was The Punisher? Their Halloween photos were fun, but nothing racy…until now. The Spurs are no longer the most boring team in America…amid a $250,000 fine for sitting out against the Miami Heat, check out this photo of Parker and Duncan using their fake guns on a fellow party-goer dressed as referee, Joey Crawford:

Contain Parker To Beat Spurs?

For many years, there was one name the opponents of the San Antonio Spurs had to worry about: Tim Duncan. He used to be the main focus of the opposing defense every possession. Now with Duncan being older, he's not the weapon the rest of the NBA should solely about on the team and Jacque Vaughn knows it. Vaughn praised Parker after the Spurs defeated his Orlando Magic on Wednesday...

The San Antonio Spurs finished with the best record in the Western Conference last season, while the Heat finished second in the Eastern Conference. The two teams were set to face off Thursday night in a much anticipated prime-time game. However, the Spurs organization and head coach Greg Popovich had other plans. According to the San Antonio Express, the Spurs sat their best four...

San Antonio is playing at Miami on Thursday night without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green, who were sent home by Spurs coach Gregg Popovich to rest. Duncan, Parker and Green are starters. Ginobili is the team's top reserve. Popovich says the decision was made when he saw the schedule, and that it had nothing to do with facing the Heat. Thursday's...

The NBA has fined the San Antonio Spurs $250,000 as a result of coach Gregg Popovich sending the teams stars home for a nationally televised game against the Miami Heat.
