Derrick Rose certainly is no Adrian Peterson. Rose is nearly a year out from is May 2012 knee surgery to repair a torn ACL, and the Bulls point guard is taking his time getting back into the game. His teammates beat the Nets Saturday night in Game 7, and Rose watched from the bench in street clothes. The Bulls star has received his share of criticism for the pace of his return — especially in light of the fact that some of his teammates are playing through injury —  but Rose said he is unaware of that criticism as he doesn’t go online or watch TV. “I haven’t had any pressure anywhere,” Rose said. “You hear stuff. People say stuff. I have a lot of people text me, asking if I’m doing all right because I guess they’re paying attention to what’s going on in social media. “I’m far from it. I rarely watch games. If it’s not our game, I rarely watch it.” Rose’s theory is that the longer he sits out, the healthier he will come back, and he plans to come back better than ever. “Wheneve

Report: Derrick Rose Has No Intention Of Returning In Playoffs

Derrick Rose refuses to pull the plug on returning to the Bulls this season, and as his team advances to face the Miami Heat in the second round, the question of whether the former MVP will be on the floor with his banged up team will only keep coming. Rose knows that answer but refuses to confirm it, according to a Yahoo! Sports report by Adrian Wojnarowski: “Who knows?” Rose...

Time to question Derrick Rose’s mental toughness

At the risk of being struck down I’m going to question the mental toughness of Chicago Bulls’ star Derrick Rose. There are unwritten rules in sports: You don’t talk about a perfect while one is being pitched, you don’t hit a man below the belt without apologizing vehemently, never bet on a team from the Northwest in a big game, and don’t question a player that says they...

Bulls’ Derrick Rose hampered by lack of muscle memory

The drama surrounding Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rosecontinues, as the latest report – courtesy of TNT – is that one of the things that continue to keep the All-Star off the court is a lack of muscle memory.TNT sideline reporter Rachel Nichols said that Rose told her off-camera a few days ago that while he wants to return to the court, he doesn’t have his muscle memory...

Derrick Rose ‘Not Ruling Out’ Playing in Series Against Heat, But Will Miss Game 1

Derrick Rose will spend Game 1 of the Bulls’ second-round playoff series doing the same thing he has done every game this season: Not playing. Beyond Game 1, though, Rose is not ruling out a return to the court. He has not played since tearing the anterior-cruciate ligament in his left knee in the first game of last year’s playoffs, but he told ESPN.com on Monday that “I might...

Derrick Rose: 'I Might Have A Chance' To Return Against Heat

Despite everyone around the NBA believing he will not return this season, Derrick Rose said on Monday that he still could return at some point in the Chicago Bulls' second round series against the Miami Heat. "Still up in the air. I might have a chance," Rose said. Rose has been scrimmaging 5-on-5 since Feb. 18 and has been medically cleared to play for two months...

Derrick Rose still not commenting on possible return for the playoffs

The question all season for the Chicago Bulls. Even throughout the first round of the playoffs has been will Derrick Rose return. Now comes word per Yahoo Sports that sources close to Rose say he won’t return this season, period. The Bulls fought through seven games against the Brooklyn Nets to make it to round two. Even with injuries, the Bulls came together. Whether it was Joakim...

Report: Muscle memory delaying Rose return

TNT's Rachel Nichols reported Thursday that Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose told her that muscle memory is holding him back from returning to the court from ACL surgery., http://juicedsportsblog.com/sports-news/news/report-muscle-memory-delaying-rose-return

Derrick Rose: I’ve been Unaware of All the Criticism I’m Getting

The thing about this Derrick Rose situation with the Chicago Bulls has been why not just announce him out for the season? Rose obviously isn’t mentally where he needs to be to return to the court, despite being medically cleared months ago. So I have always wondered, why not just announce him out for the [...]

Would Rajon Rondo play if he was in Derrick Rose's shoes? Vote in the poll.

Last night after the Chicago Bulls lost to the Brooklyn Nets, I logged onto Facebook to find Derrick Rose being blasted in the majority of comments on my news feed. I lived in Chicago for three years, and the sentiments echoed in the posts being made by my friends that are Bulls fans mostly consisted of calling Rose a "p#ssy" for not suiting up and helping his team dispose...

Deng out for Bulls; What about Rose?

Derrick Rose still has not ruled out a return this season for the Chicago Bulls, saying he could play in their Eastern Conference semifinal against the Miami Heat. The 2011 NBA MVP will not play for Chicago in Game 1 against Miami on Monday night, nor will forward Luol Deng. Deng returned to a hospital for more tests, the Bulls said, and underwent a spinal tap to rule out viral...

Derrick Rose: ‘I might have a chance’ to play vs. Heat

The Chicago Bulls won’t have Loul Deng, Derrick Rose and possibly Kirk Hinrich in the lineup for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal against the Miami Heat on Monday, but Rose said his status is ”still up in the air. I might have a chance.”

Nate Robinson throws up in trash can, battles flu during Game 6 (Video)

The Chicago Bulls cannot afford to lose another guard while Derrick Rose continues to watch games from the bench. Nate Robinson, who is clearly well aware of that, fought through flu-like symptoms during a Game 6 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. He was seen throwing up into a trash can on the Bulls bench during a timeout. In fact, the core of the Bulls roster seems to...

Thursday Thoughts

-  Can anyone explain this Derrick Rose thing?  So with the Bulls up 3-2 they have a chance to close out New Jersey in Chicago, knowing a loss sends this back to a game 7 in Jersey so this is basically a do or die game.  Both Kirk Hinrich, who started at PG in place of Rose all year, and Luol Deng, probably the team's best perimeter defender, are out and in case you forget...
